What we collect
Short version: almost nothing. The Tarot, Sun sign, Chinese zodiac, Life Path and Moon Sign calculators run entirely in your browser — what you type never leaves your device. The BaZi calculator is the one exception: the birthplace text you enter is sent to OpenStreetMap and Open-Meteo (details below) to work out the correct time zone and true solar time. Your birth date and birth time are still processed locally in your browser. We do not ask you to create a profile, and we do not store your calculator inputs on our side.
If you email hello@aveni.tools, we receive the email address and the information you choose to include so we can reply. If you join a future newsletter, we will explain the purpose and provide an unsubscribe option before sending recurring messages.
Cookies and analytics
We currently keep the tools lightweight and do not require advertising cookies for the calculators. If analytics or marketing tools are added, this policy will be updated and any required consent controls will be provided.
Your choices
You can ask what information we hold about your correspondence or ask us to delete it by emailing hello@aveni.tools.
Third-party services
We keep third-party services to a minimum and list every one we currently use:
- OpenStreetMap Nominatim (nominatim.openstreetmap.org) — when you use the BaZi calculator, the birthplace text you type (for example “London, United Kingdom”) is sent to Nominatim to find the matching location. Your birth date, birth time and email address are not sent to this service.
- Open-Meteo (api.open-meteo.com) — the latitude and longitude returned by the place lookup are sent to Open-Meteo to determine the time zone used for true solar time. No name, email or birth date is involved.
- MailerLite (assets.mailerlite.com) — the newsletter signup form is delivered by MailerLite. If you submit the form, MailerLite receives your email address (and only that) and stores it so we can send the emails you asked for. MailerLite’s own privacy policy applies to its processing.
- cdnjs.cloudflare.com — the BaZi calculation library (lunar-javascript) is loaded as a static file from Cloudflare’s CDN. This connection carries no personal data.
If your browser connects to any of these services, their own terms and privacy policies apply to that connection. We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with anyone beyond the services listed above.
